Join our 4000 Mile Challenge and support young refugees!
Following the success of our fundraising challenge last year, we’re back with another epic fundraising challenge!
This September, we’ll be walking, running, swimming and cycling in an effort to reach a collective distance of 4000 miles.
4000 miles is the average distance the young people on our programmes have travelled from their home to reach safety in the UK, often on their own. This includes the distance from Afghanistan (4676 miles), Eritrea (4999 miles), Iran (3410 miles), Syria (2829 miles), and Vietnam (5374 miles).
That’s why, from 1st September to 30th September, we’re asking you to join us as we attempt to reach a combined distance of 4000 miles and raise £10,000 of vital funding towards our work.
How you can take part:
1. Sign up to the event by clicking here
Sign up as an individual or create a team and take part alongside your family, friends, or co-workers.
2. Choose how many miles to complete and how to do them
You could walk 5km around your local park every day, team up with friends to cycle from London to Brighton, or even take on a half-marathon.
3. Start clocking your miles and gathering sponsors!
Whether you reach 1 mile, 10 miles, or 100 miles, every mile you travel and every penny you raise will go directly towards supporting young refugees to access the education and one-to-one support they need to rebuild their lives.
Join us at our Annual Walk!
Join Hope for the Young staff, volunteers, young people, and friends as we come together to walk a 10-mile route through the beautiful Epping Forest.
